I started out at Kent State University in 1985, learning Live Production on the All Campus Programming Board.
At that time it was all volunteer with no pay, or college credit. We had a large budget, and booked acts more frequently than I had time for....so I made the time by not going to class....Uhhh ... oops...

Needless to say I got "Bitten",(it truly IS a nasty disease) and transferred to the only school around here that offered recording classes.

I started at Cuyahoga Community College and simultaneously took a job as a promotion assistant at The Cleveland Agora concert hall. This put me in touch with all the Production Companies and musicians in the area and most of the "Seasoned Pros" were very kind in teaching me over the years.

I started operating as a freelance audio Engineer under the name Sowndes Gud Service in 1989.
When I started out, I worked as engineer or crew on many large live productions. Anything from ACME Conventions to Presidential Primaries, Concerts/Festivals and everything in between.

I started touring around the Midwest and east coast with some of the regional acts, sleeping on floors or driving all night stinky and exhausted...

I was also the "House Engineer" at Peabody's and The Odeon concert clubs for a while...
(Oooohhhh ... The Glory of it all...)

For the past two years I have been on the road , touring as FOH engineer with
Grammy nominated Liquid Soul from Chicago.

In the middle of all this around 1995, I started to acquire gear
to eventually open Audio Kreme Studio, which I run with the help of a few selected individuals.
I have operated here for a few years and am in a constant state of upgrade...
I have tried to create a space that is comfortable and quality,
so that everyone who comes here can create with me the things they hear in their head.

I have been fortunate to get much return work from most people who come here.
Whether its a music project, or FX, or a video, or a restoration of "Dads old crusty tapes".
It all takes creativity combined with the tools available to bring it to fruition...
The people in my company and I simply try to provide that link
This "audio bug" has been mostly kind to me, as have many of the people I have met.

This process and collaboration with individuals has produced many "magic moments"...and a few stinky eggs.
I am however, truly grateful.
I absolutely and humbly wish to thank everyone I have ever worked with
(No kidding ....EVERYONE), for helping me to have a "Life" that I am professionally and Spiritually happy with...

Peace at ya,
Regis
